I’ve known several people that sign up with various sites that offer all types of Free Stuff, which is something that I’ve never really gotten into. I am an avid coupon user and I take advantage of numerous rebates, which can really add up, and I certainly like the sound of “Freebie” so I’ve looked around a bit and found thefreebiesource.com which is a really cool site that links you up with other sites that offer Freebies, discounts, samples, promotion codes, coupons and the like and I thought that I would spread the word about this site here today.
I do enjoy finding a good deal or stumbling onto a really good customer service representative (live or on the phone) these days there is a lot to complain about, and rightfully so, so the good things are so much more positive and don’t drain and suck me dry of all thoughts and concentration. I’ve always thought that if we all just did one good deed or be a good samaritan each day the world would be a much nicer and brighter place for everyone. Telling people where to go to get free stuff is my good deed for the day.

Gone are the days that we all carried a phone and address book in order to keep all of our important phone and addresses for folks that we might need to be in contact with. The customized business card is the way to go these days, if you don’t have a business card you are seriously out dated. Even house mothers/makers are known to have a business card to give other parents in order to fix play dates with their youngsters. Isn’t that something?
I like having a business card in order to drop in to the glass containers that you find on the counters at many businesses (mainly) fast food restaurants or service centers. They advertise that they hold weekly drawings and the winner gets a free meal or a free service of some sort. The only place that I will not drop my card in is in a container for a free vacation or for a gym. They just want your information in order to be placed on a mailing list and then you will be bombarded with junk mail for ever and a day.
Customized business cards are becoming more affordable and don’t take as long to make and receive and are all the rage in today’s society.

Took my niece to the library over the weekend. We both love to read and we enjoy going to library together now and then. It’s our time together doing things that we enjoy doing for the day. While we were there I was looking to see if I could find “The General’s Daughter” by Nelson DeMille. He is the author of the book “Up Country” that I just finished reading a few days ago. I couldn’t find that particular book but I did see that he has several books out that I look forward to reading in the near future. In the mean time I picked up “Word of Honor” by Mr. DeMille and so far, so good.

I love reading a variety of books. It seems that I usually have 2 or 3 going at the same time, it works out most of the time. I always keep a good novel in the bathroom. When I take my bath I kick back and get some good reading time out of the deal as well.
I just finished a novel “Up Country” by Nelson DeMille, who also wrote “The General’s Daughter” which I really need to find now. This was a great book about Vietnam Vets that anyone would and should enjoy reading at some point.

I love how the Internet makes it possible to research products and compare prices, at my convenience and letting my fingers do the walking on my lap top’s keyboard. I just got back from the eye doctor and it seems that I need new eyeglasses. Not just any type of eyeglasses mind you but bifocals, ugh……………In my mind I’m way too young to be needing bifocals, but the doctor knows best, right?
With money being so tight I was leery of going next door and purchasing my new glasses at the optical store which is so conveniently located right next store to his office. I wanted a chance to do some comparison shopping to see what types of deals I could find on my own. I’ve heard good things about Zenni Optical so I took some time this afternoon during my break at work and checked them out. When I Googled Zenni Optical I found an article at http://www.examiner.com/x-28795-Brooklyn-Liberal-Examiner~y2009m11d13-Cheap-eyeglasses-are-a-reality-Check-out-Erics-review-of-Zenni-Optical that enlightened me about Zenni Optical. Did you know that they start their eyeglasses at $8.00, now how cool is that to be able to get good quality glasses at a nice low price? I’ll let you know how it all pans out and I might even post a picture of me with my new glasses on…………………….
