I Like FREE!

I’ve known several people that sign up with various sites that offer all types of Free Stuff, which is something that I’ve never really gotten into. I am an avid coupon user and I take advantage of numerous rebates, which can really add up, and I certainly like the sound of “Freebie” so I’ve looked around a bit and found thefreebiesource.com which is a really cool site that links you up with other sites that offer Freebies, discounts, samples, promotion codes, coupons and the like and I thought that I would spread the word about this site here today.

I do enjoy finding a good deal or stumbling onto a really good customer service representative (live or on the phone) these days there is a lot to complain about, and rightfully so, so the good things are so much more positive and don’t drain and suck me dry of all thoughts and concentration. I’ve always thought that if we all just did one good deed or be a good samaritan each day the world would be a much nicer and brighter place for everyone. Telling people where to go to get free stuff is my good deed for the day.

Become.com is Becoming

I’ve never been much on worrying about brand names. I know what I like and what I don’t like, a name attached to something doesn’t make it or break it for me. My sister on the other hand is crazy about things like that. Right now she is re doing her master bedroom and master bathroom and has fallen in love with the Candice Olson furniture that she has found online. She is quite good in finding great deals online and has found a cool website called become.com that brings power shopping to your finger tips with price comparison and  product reviews, which is a great product shopping and research tool for online shoppers that are becoming more and more popular each year.

She found become.com when she was pregnant and was looking for the best baby related products that she could find while waiting at home, on bed rest for the last 2 months of her pregnancy. She had twins and it was hard on her then and still hard on her now three years later and she still has 15 years to go. LOL

I’ve used become.com a few times myself. I found some great women’s jewelry by using their search engines. I usually buy most of my costume jewelry at the thrift stores or the local flea markets. But when I find a company that has low prices and has free shipping I’ll keep buying online and not deal with crowds at these various markets.

Security Equipment

My Dad is so upset due to watching so many news programs day in and day out. He sees all of the really bad and negative stuff that is blasted on the boob tube and he really gets stressed out, bless his heart. I wish that he would watch more comedy programs and bring some laughter into his life. His major concern right now is all of the home break ins that are on the increase. So many people are getting desperate for money that they are turning to crime in order to keep food on the table and a roof over their heads. And that isn’t even touching the drug problems that many people now have because of all of the issues with our lovely economy.

Dad wants me to look into one of the ADT security systems that he has been reading about. There are many homes that are now sporting one of ADT’s yard signs indicating that they have a security system installed for their protection. He thinks that I should have a top notch security video camera for my safety, while I think a big dog would probably do the job just as well.

He has just now sent me the link that talks about their backup battery and equipment guide so that I can become familiar with the products and their current promotions. I know his intentions are good and I love him for it, so I will look it over and see what it is all about and report back to him as soon as possible. I gotta keep my Dad happy. He is the only one that I have.

No Nonsense Please……………..

Zenni Optical has been in business for quite some time. I know several people that have used them and have been very pleased with their service, their prices and their eye wear that they have to offer the general public. I guess the other retailers of eye wear have got their nose out of joint and are starting to come down on businesses like Zenni Optical who make it easier for us to afford and purchase all types of glasses at deep discounted prices.

There is no reason we should have to spend a ton of money to get eyeglasses that most of us end up having to wear at some point in our life time. Times are hard enough as it is, with the economy in the toilet and all. It really bugs me when businesses try and stick it to us with outrageous mark ups that they feel are justified. What a bunch of nonsense. It seems that now there are eye doctors that are not willing to provide their patients with the much needed information that is needed in order to order glasses. What a scam, I’m glad that my eye doctor wouldn’t dream of pulling that type of nonsense on his patients.

Found $$$

I have never been one to find much money on the street or the ground. My best friend was always finding money when we were kids, but it just wasn’t something that I had a knack for. Well today as I got out of my car I saw something on the ground so I went over to see what it was and low and behold it was a $20 bill with two $1 bills. Hot dam, $22, pretty good way to start the day!
