Fed up with dishwasher

My dishwasher isn’t very old and it is a Maytag, but I am not happy with the way that my dishes are coming out these past few years. It really makes me angry when I have to practically wash the dishes before placing them into the dishwasher just to make sure that they all come out nice and clean.

I have used the cleansing liquids that they sell, and I’ve tried several brands that claim to make your dishwasher work better and make the dishes come out cleaner and even the tablets that have just recently come on the market, they are expensive and haven’t made a difference what so ever in my machine.

So it looks like I’m going to be in the market for a new dishwasher. I’d like to do my comparison shopping by utilized the convenience of the Internet. Using the computer beats the hell out of bouncing from one store to another trying to remember everything and making a decision from all that. I’ll let my fingers do all the walking for this major appliance purchase.

Interesting Tick Removal Trick

HOW TO REMOVE A TICK AS PASSED ON TO ME

Please forward to anyone with children… or hunters or dogs, or anyone who even steps outside in summer!!
A School Nurse has written the info below — good enough to share, And it really works!! I had a pediatrician tell me

what she believes is the best way to remove a tick. This is great, because it works in those places where it’s
some times difficult to get to with tweezers: between toes, in the middle of a head full of dark hair, etc.
Apply a glob of liquid soap to a cotton ball. Cover the tick with the soap-soaked cotton ball and swab it for a few
seconds (15-20), the tick will come out on its own and be stuck to the cotton ball when you lift it away. This technique
has worked every time I’ve used it (and that was frequently), and it’s much less traumatic for the patient and
easier for me. Unless someone is allergic to soap, I can’t see that this would be damaging in any way. I even had my
doctor’s wife call me for advice because she had one stuck to her back and she couldn’t reach it with tweezers. She used
this method and immediately called me back to say, ‘It worked!’

Online banking is easier than I thought

My sister has been nagging me for years to take the plunge and start managing my banking needs online and I have finally started doing so just recently and have found that it really is pretty easy and extremely helpful. And now that I have learned how to do that task I am starting to pay a lot of my monthly bills online also. It just makes good economic sense, what with the price of gas and the US Postal Service keeps raising the price of postage stamps, to be able to do the monthly tasks from right at home.

I have only had a few problems with the company not receiving the payment that I had submitted online, but both times the problem was resolved quickly and no extra charges were incurred, thank God.

I’ve always been gun shy with new technologies that are always coming out, I mean it took years for me to even consent to purchase a microwave oven. And now I don’t know what I would do with out one.

I love chocolate

Funny how our taste buds change as we grow older, as a kid I wasn’t all that crazy about chocolate. I loved candy as much as the next kid, just not so much the chocolate variety of candy. Halloween was always my favorite Holiday, besides Christmas of course, man we would come home with bags overflowing with all kinds of candies to keep us happy for months well after that wonderful night of trick or treating through out the entire whole neighborhood with my siblings and friends.

But now I love chocolate, not the dark kind, but milk chocolate, lately I can’t seem to get enough of it. I hear that chocolate is now on the list of healthy things to eat, so that makes me feel better and I’m glad that I haven’t put on any extra weight due to my latest cravings of these tasty morsels of these creamy delight called chocolate!

If a man wants to put a smile on my face, a box of chocolates is a great way to start! Valentines Day is now my favorite holiday to receive my fare share of chocolates & candies.

Good Customer Service at Lipton Tea

I’ve been drinking tea for as long as I can remember, hot or cold, day or night, but it has to be Lipton or nothing. I did switch to Red Rose Tea for a while because my mother was collecting the little Wade figurines that they always have in the box along with the tea bags, but after a while I just got really tired of not having the full flavor of my good old Lipton bags.

Last time I did my grocery shopping I was pleased to find that they had Lipton tea bags on sale so I picked up several boxes, and I saved a good chunk of change in doing so. But when I came home and opened one of the boxes and put several of them in the boiling water, in order to make a picture of Iced Tea, the bags more or less exploded, and made quite a mess of it all. So I tried again, and the same thing happened, that is when I looked on the side of the box and found the 1-800 number for their customer service department and gave them a call.

I have to say that they were very understanding and polite, I received a warm hearted apology and was sent several coupons in the mail the next week for several free boxes of Lipton Tea Bags. Now that is what I call good customer service. Thanks Lipton!
